MFs investing in FMCG stocks gain


Mutual fund schemes that focus on fast moving consumer good stocks have generated highest returns in the week ended.

Friday even as investors hunt for defensive stocks owing to lack of uncertainty in the direction for broader markets.
 
The sectoral index i.e NIFTY FMCG was up by 1.92% for the week gone by even as the major benchmark indices Nifty 50 & Sensex were down by 0.6% & 0.7% respectively.

ICICI Prudential FMCG Fund was the top performer with the fund recording gains of 1.45% over the past one week.

SBI FMCG fund was the worst performer in the category by clocking 1.03% gains.
