Tata Motors shares surged more than 4 percent on Thursday after retaining strong sales growth trajectory in US by the luxury car maker Jaguar Land Rover (JLR). JLR sold 9,473 vehicles in July, which was a solid
growth of 51.5 percent compared with 6,253 vehicles in same period last year driven by Jaguar's recent launches XE, F-Type. Jaguar sales grew by 173.6 percent to 3,398 vehicles while Land Rover reported a 21.2 percent growth by selling 6,075 units in July against 5,011 units in year-ago period. At 13:24 hours IST, the scrip of Tata Motors was quoting at Rs 499, up Rs 19.85, or 4.14 percent on the BSE.
