Urjit R Patel, who will take over from Raghuram Rajan as RBI Governor early next month is no stranger to Mint Street, having spent over three-and-a-half years as deputy governor. Said to be a man of few words, the 52-year old Patel is known for his tough stance on inflation and has worked with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the finance ministry in the past, besides stints in the private sector as well.
