Silver futures were trading higher





Silver futures were trading higher during the evening trade in the domestic market on Friday led by increase in demand at domestic market amid firm trend overseas.


Bullion traders said besides firming trend overseas, increased buying by jewellers and retailers at domestic spot market mainly kept the silver prices higher.


At the MCX, Silver futures for July 2016 contract is trading at Rs 40,960 per kg, up by 0.12 per cent, after opening at Rs 40,912, against a previous close of Rs 40,909. It touched an intra-day high of Rs 41,114 (At 16:40 PM).
